A little about me ~
Along with my wonderful husband, I have raised four incredible sons while living in a Chicago suburban neighborhood. An now, becoming a Nana has been the most rewarding experience ever. By day, I am an Insurance Specialist for a major healthcare organization. By night, my love for writing is behind my creation of freelance articles, blog postings, and my greatest accomplishment of three published novels. Aside from writing, some of my favorite pastimes include reading, glass painting, cooking, and spending time with my family. |

Featured author interview in Book Reader Magazine
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a Midwestern gal born in Chicago into an Italian/Norwegian family. Until 8th grade, I attended a Catholic elementary school. Then, we were off to the suburbs. Here I am, many years later, still living in a Chicago suburban neighborhood with my wonderful husband and four amazing sons. I love the Midwest, or at least three of the seasons. I could do without winter.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Story writing did not become an interest to me until I was in high school. In Freshman English class, we were assigned many creative writing projects. It was my favorite class, with a supportive teacher who happened to value my completed assignments. It wasn’t until I was married, and after my first two boys were born, that I began dabbling in writing once again. At that time, I wrote children’s stories, and submitted them to magazines. I also wrote a children’s picture book which is not yet published.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I do love romance novels. But, they need to have a good love story. I read the type of stories that I tend to write; stories with not only love and romance, but a strong family premise as well. Nicholas Sparks books have always been a favorite of mine. Also, I enjoy James Patterson books which are more on the romantic side.
What is your favorite of all your books?
FINDING LOVE IN MY HEART, for sure. This book is near and dear to my heart, not that it is written about anyone in particular, but because the story line is intriguing. The characters and their struggles with love, loss, family, friends, alcoholism, depression, and more could definitely be portrayed in a movie. I haven't lost hope of that someday becoming a reality.
